Simple Host: Tutorials: Eudora
Configuring Email Software: Eudora

Note: If you do not already own Outlook you can download from here.

IMPORTANT: If you do not have your nameservers propagated to the SimpleHost DNS, then you will not be able to login to the SimpleHost Mail Server. For more information on your Domain Name Servers (DNS) click here.

Step 1

Start Eudora, and on the Tools menu, click Options.

Step 2

Select Getting Started within the Tool Bar to the left.

Step 3

Real name: Your name as you wish it to appear.

Step 4

Return address: The email address that you would like email returned to.

Step 5

Mail Server (Incoming): For this field use mail.YOURDOMAIN.com.

Step 6

Login Name: This is a little tricky. You will use your email address, but instead of typing in the "@", you will use the "%".

Example: "someone%yourdomainname.com" (Where "someone" is replaced by your name and where "yourdomainname.com" is replaced by your actual domain name).

Step 7

SMTP Server (Outgoing): For this field use mail.YOURDOMAIN.com.

Step 8

Make sure that Allow authentication is unchecked.

Step 9

Next, click OK.

Note: the first time that you check your email account, you will be prompted to enter your password. This is the password you selected when you setup this email account in your SimpleHost Mail Control Panel.
